Thirteenth Hour plays with fire

Full of passion and charisma, this energetic band has so much to offer to your ear drums. An instrumentally inclined collective of five friends from Texas A&M University has started up the band called Thirteenth Hour. Although this indie rock band packed with vibrant sounds only has four songs released, there is something special about this group based out of College Station, Texas.
The powerful yet elegant voice of Kayla Kroeker fluently guides each song in the best way possible. A song of theirs that I have had on repeat this week is “Playing with Fire.” This song is a fun tune that will get the people moving at any venue. With the way guitarist, Noah Beyer, absolutely shreds throughout song and the intensity of Jacob Davis on the drums it almost feels as if they really are playing with fire.

Each member plays a pivotal part in success of their music. Released in late June, the song Ghosts is another banger from Thirteenth Hour. This softer tune helps highlight the dynamic flow of Kroeker’s sound through the story of a post breakup. The anthem is gracefully comforted and guided by their keyboardist, Josh Woods. You can catch their bassist, Courtney Loth, playing a sick and groovy melody to the backbeat of the drums in the beginning of their song Dead Weight.
You’ve probably seen them playing at venues such as Herschel’s, The Yard and The Palace Theater in Bryan/College Station. But most recently, you might have seen their name on the lineup for the 12th Jam Music Festival presented by MSC Town Hall and Texas A&M Athletics this upcoming August 28th. I hear Dayglow is also on this dope line up as well as other bands from College Station.
Thirteenth Hour also has a show this Friday at the Grand Stafford! So if your nearby College Station, make sure to stop by and show them some love.
