Music of College Station
Here are some bands and artists in College Station you should get familiar with before school starts with fall
Rococo Disco
If you haven’t heard them already, you’re truly missing out. Two wizards of funk, David Soto and Paul Chu have developed something pretty rad. With a collective of over 1.3 million streams on Spotify this groovy duo keeps the music scene in College Station entertained.
Jon Couch
You should get to know this man of many talents. A breakfast taco aficionado, professional podcaster and an insanely dope singer/songwriter. You can catch Jon around College Station playing bass for several different bands, performing his own music, or brewing the world’s finest coffee.
Montclair
Montclair is an upcoming indie rock band that is set to release their debut single Pastel Lies on August 27th. They also plan on playing at the 12th Jam Music Festival that same weekend with other bands such as Dayglow and Thirteenth Hour. Rumor has it that their band member, Casen, can do a flip while jumping off their drum set.
Orange Lake
Noah Henry and Jack Davenport are the brilliant minds behind this silky-smooth and chill band by the name of Orange Lake. Earlier in May, they dropped their Self-Titled project with graceful songs of In my mind and Up as well as other tunes featuring Rococo Disco.
Thirteenth Hour
You may have seen this band featured in a previous post but they are a exciting and fun group of friends that have great stage performance. In fact, Thirteenth Hour is also playing at the 12th Jam Music Festival in College Station. They also have a couple EPs out that you should give a listen to.
The Nomads
The Nomads are a rad collective of instrumentalists that infuses their trippy sound with rnb. They recently dropped their Debut Single, Yellow, and are on the verge of releasing some more new music soon. Check them out!
STATEOFLIVING
This talented artist has mastered the art of making beats from his bedroom in College Station. A little less than a month ago, SOL dropped some heat with his EP Blue Hour containing songs such as Tomorrow and Without You.
Sol & Dye
Last but certainly not least, Sol & Dye. This fun duo has unlocked a lot of potential with their most recent upbeat tune Wondering Why. Although they currently only have two songs, there is something exceptional about their music and I look forward to seeing their progress.
As you can see, there are a lot of dope bands and artists residing in College Station, and this isn’t even all of them.
