Montclair’s debut single Pastel Lies

Envision yourself relaxing on a park bench in the summertime with a waffle cone in your hand of your favorite ice cream (if your lactose-intolerant pretend it’s a popsicle) that you had as a child. For some reminiscently odd reason that’s what I feel when I listen to Montclair’s new Debut Single Pastel Lies. This beautifully written song of theirs eloquently veils their lyrics with a vibrant and soothing tune. One line that I found quite intriguing was “Like these fallen leaves, so beautiful but dead to me” which reminds me of the song Someone That I Used to Know.

You may have seen this band before in a previous post and the rumors are true based on the comments of my Instagram, I can confirm that their lead singer, Casen, can do a backflip off the drum set. The athleticism of this band is incomparable to any other in College Station. You can catch them doing flips, dunking on hoops, skateboarding, and performing their dope new music at the 12th Jam Music Festival tomorrow, August 28th.

I first saw Montclair earlier in February when they performed for a crowd at maximum capacity at Hershel’s in the Stella Hotel. (This is where the backflip rumors began) Even six months before they had music out there was already a strong fan base for Montclair and it will continue to blossom. Montclair is making an exponential impact in the music community here in College Station and I am eagerly anticipating the arrival of their Debut album.

Four multi-talented studs: Casen, Anna, Clay, and Jackson have been diligently working hard over the past year to get to where they are now, and their patience will soon pay off for Montclair. If you want to keep up with this upcoming band follow them on Instagram and Spotify, as well as stream their new song Pastel Lies!
