Northport’s Finest, Arcy Drive.

Arcy Drive

Northport’s Finest, Arcy Drive constantly makes life better than usual with their music. It seems as if I am walking across the ocean’s sand at midnight with the moon shining down on the water and everything seems so clear to me. There is a coarse yet blissful feeling that comes with their fresh sound that is un-parallel to many other bands that I have heard recently.

A hidden gem unfamiliar to the common man resides itself in the northern shore of long island in which four friends embrace their roots and come together to curate something quite beautiful. From attics, driveways, dive bars and motorized vehicles to your phone screens and backyards, this rad band will play anywhere their heart desires. In fact, they are currently saving up for a bus so they can continue to perform at new places.

Their lead singer, Nick, is a man of the ocean and I guarantee you that he can navigate the seven seas with his eyes closed. This is not factual although I will have to ask next time we talk about his endeavors on the water. Their drummer, Brooke, is a force to be reckoned with and I can confirm that it is a bad day to be a drum set whenever she is around. It is heard that the lead guitarist, Austin, can always be seen on stage shredding with 2 gallons of water because hydration is of vital importance to him. Let’s talk about Arcy Drive’s bassist, Patrick. Not only can he slap the bass unequivocally, but he can speak several different languages and is a wizard when it comes to the computer.

While making sure not to take themselves too seriously, this band has been gaining traction by sharing raw and uncut covers and original songs on TikTok. Playing music ranging from Sticky Fingers and Cage The Elephant to Billie Eilish and The Beatles. My personal favorite of theirs is Scar Tissue by the Red Hot Chili Peppers. They have a smoothly original and rockin sound that will make you question your existence because you can’t believe you just now heard them.

With such exposure that TikTok was giving them, it was only a matter of time for the band to start sharing their music on other platforms. As their fan base was growing faster than expected, they soon realized that there was only ample amount of time available to release music because their lead singer was about to embark on the water for the semester. This predicament inspired their YouTube Live Sessions in which consisted of a series of five original songs performed live in an attic. Arcy Drive perfected their craft and within two weeks of preparation the songs were recorded, showcasing their eloquently raspy sound.

You can tell that when they are all together that there is something special. It’s only a matter of time for the world to catch on. I wouldn’t be surprised if we saw Arcy Drive at a plethora of music festivals in the future. Be sure to check out their progress as they plan on releasing more music and embark on a journey across the country playing their rad tunes.
